Update from AZ Audit with Sonny Borrelli

Gail Golec interviews Sonny Borrelli.  It is chilling to learn that the Maricopa County Recorder’s office has been so reluctant to work with legislators and others who have found problems with our voting and election processes.

Borrelli discusses his meetings with officials from Pennsylvania who visited Arizona and observed our audit in progress.  Pennsylvania will likely seek to establish a similar audit for their ballots.

He also discusses his disappointment and frustration with the Secretary of State, and the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.  They have refused to cooperate with the auditors’ efforts in understanding some of the anomalies uncovered.   The people deserve transparency from their government.  If this concerns you consider calling the Secretary of State office, Katie Hobbs and the Maricopa County Recorder’s office and ask that they cooperate with the audit.

Borrelli also says the county has not yet turned over the routers and other material, which is a violation of the subpoena.  This audit is for the people.  Maybe the people need to start serving legal notice to those in power who have refused to comply.

Without the routers and passwords it is much more difficult to understand what happened during tabulating.  Until we can fully restore confidence Borrelli suggests we issue a moratorium on electronic machines and go back to hand counts.  Smaller precincts are also essential to restore confidence in the voting process.
